- 1). Buy any blank Mighty Muggs from the Hasbro website. If your character is going to be mostly black or mostly white, order one of these colors to make your job easier.
- 2). Draw your Mighty Mugg on the Mighty Mugg template, found in the Mighty Mugg Forum website. This is a printable template you can use to plan what design you want, what colors you want to use, and additional materials for shoes, glasses, or other accessories.
- 3). Clean the Mighty Mugg with soap and water to remove any residue. Then set up a work area with all of your supplies, your drawing and the Mighty Mugg. It's best to lay down newspaper to keep the paint from getting on the surface of the area you are using.
- 4). Draw the outline of your design on the Mighty Mugg with a pencil--very lightly. Once you are finished drawing, you can fill in the areas with the appropriate colors.
- 5). Paint the Mighty Mugg. Start with the lightest colors. Let each color dry for a few minutes before using another color, so the colors don't bleed.
- 6). Let the painted Mighty Mugg dry overnight. Then seal the paint. Any sealer will work, though matte or glossy are most common. The sealer keeps the Mighty Mugg protected from the elements and chipping.
