How to Make a Popcorn Box Out of Paper
- 1). Lay the paper on the work surface patterned side up.
- 2). Fold the paper in half, bringing the upper left corner to meet the lower right corner, and crease the paper. Unfold the paper and lay it flat.
- 3). Repeat with the upper right corner.
- 4). Flip the paper over and turn the paper so that the creases form a cross.
- 5). Repeat steps 2 and 3.
- 6). Press the horizontal crease inward on both the right and left sides. The creases will fold inward and the paper will form two triangles, with the remainder of the paper folded between them.
- 7). Turn the triangle so that the inner pocket faces away from you.
- 8). Lift the right point of the triangle and fold it inward approximately 2 inches above the point of the triangle.
- 9). Repeat for the left point.
- 10
Fold the lower point upward and crease. Unfold the point and press it flat. - 11
Flip the triangle over and repeat steps 8 through 10. Fold the triangle points so that the edges match the opposite side exactly. Four points now extend above the body of the box, two on each side. - 12
Stand the paper on its point and spread the inner pocket slightly. Notice three different pockets: a central pocket and two outer pockets. - 13
Fold the points from step 10 into the outer pocket on each side. - 14
Insert your hand into the inner pocket and press the bottom of the box flat.
