How to Implement an SSH Client

PUTTY

1). Download and save the "Putty.exe" application to the Windows 7 computer by clicking on the "Putty.exe" link located on the "PuTTY" download page.
2). Double-click on the "Putty.exe and type the IP address of a computer that is running the SSH service into the "Host Name or IP address" field and then click the "Open" button.
3). Type the user name of an account that has permissions to connect to the SSH service and then press the "Enter" key. Type the password of the account when requested on the command prompt and press the "Enter" key. The "PuTTY" SSH client is now connected to a remote SSH service.

1). Download and save the "WinSCP" program by clicking on the "Portable Executables" link located at the "WinSCP" download web site. Right-click on the downloaded WinSCP "Zip" file and click "Extract here," in new folder item in the menu that appears.
2). Double-click on the "WinSCP" folder that appears, and then double click on the "WinSCP.exe" file. Click the "Session" item in the left pane of the "WinSCP Login" window. Enter the IP address of a computer running the SSH service into the "Host name" field, and then type the user name and password of an account that has permissions to connect to the SSH service into the "User name" and "Password" fields.
3). Click the "Login" button and WinSCP connects to the SSH service. Click the two monitor icon in the "WinSCP" toolbar immediately below and to the right of the "Help" menu at the top of the window and a command line shell window opens.

1). Download the Tera Term application by clicking on the "Teraterm.exe" download link and then save the downloaded file to the computer.
2). Double-click on the downloaded file, click the "Next" button in the window that appears, select the "I accept the agreement" radio button if you agree with the licensing terms and then click the "Next" button six times, once for each window that appears, and then click the "Install" button.
3). Click the "Cancel" button when the "Welcome to LogMeTT Setup Program" window appears, and then click the "Yes" button to confirm. Click the "Cancel" button when the "Welcome to TTLEditor Setup Wizard" window appears and click the "Yes" button to confirm.
4). Select the "Launch Tera Term" check box and click the "Finish" button. Select the "SSH" radio button in the "Tera Term: New Connection" window that appears. Type the IP address of a computer running the SSH service into the "Host" box, and then click the "OK" button. Type the user name of an account that has permissions to connect to the SSH service when requested, and then press the "Enter" key. Type the password of the account when requested and then press the "Enter" key to establish an SSH session.
