    Storage Capacity

    • The size of the flash drive is the biggest difference between the two phones. The 16GB iPhone stores 16 gigabytes of media, while the 32GB iPhone stores 32 gigabytes of media.

    Price

    • As of December 2010, there is a $100 price difference between the two phones. The 16GB without a new AT&T contract is $599 and $199 with a new AT&T contract. The 32GB is $699 without a contract and $299 with a contract.

    Battery Life

    • Both models have the same battery power. They have a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that is built it. The batteries have a talk time of up to seven hours and a standby time up to 300 hours. The battery can play video up to 10 hours and audio up to 40 hours and can be used on the Internet up to 10 hours.

    Media and Connectors

    • Both iPhones can record high-definition video and have a 5-megapixel camera with flash. They both have a microphone, built-in speaker, 30-pin dock connector and 3.5mm stereo output jack.

    Display and Dimensions

    • Both models have a 3.5-inch touchscreen with 960 x 640 pixel resolution. They are both 4.5 inches in height, 2.31 inches in width and have a depth of .37 inch. They both weigh 4.8 ounces.

    Video and Audio

    • Both the 32GB and the 16GB support the following audio and video types: .mpeg4, .aac, .avi, .mov, .wav, .aiff, .mp3, H.264 and .m4v.
