How to Export Outlook Contacts to an iPod
- 1). Launch Apple iTunes on your computer.
- 2). Plug the supplied Universal Serial Bus connection cable into the iPod and the USB port on the computer.
- 3). Wait for the iPod to appear under "Devices" in the left-hand menu of iTunes.
- 4). Click the iPod icon to select the device. This displays the "iPod Preferences" options menu.
- 5). Click "Contacts" under the "iPod" tab in the preferences menu.
- 6). Click the check-box beside "Synchronize Contacts From" to select this option. Select "Outlook" from the list of available programs in this menu. Click "Apply."
- 7). Wait for a pop-up dialog box to appear that tells you that a program is attempting to access data from Microsoft Outlook.
- 8). Click the check-box beside "Allow Access For" and select a time limit from the menu. This grants iTunes permission to access the contacts folder in Outlook for a set period of time. Click "Yes" and then "OK."
- 9). Wait for synchronization to finish. Disconnect the iPod from the computer by unplugging the cable when the "Synchronization Complete, OK to Disconnect" message appears in the iTunes status window.
