How to Make a Rubber Band Gun & Target
- 1). Saw off two 4-inch chunks of wood for handles, leaving an 18-inch barrel. Sand down any splinters on the ends.
- 2). Put glue on the bottom of the barrel: one spot toward the end, another about eight inches from away from that spot. Attach your 4-inch handles and let dry.
- 3). Hammer two nails through the barrel into the handles.
- 4). Hammer three nails into the tip of the barrel in a triangular pattern: one toward the top edge and two nails below it on the edges of the wood. About a quarter-inch of the nails should be visible.
- 5). Attach three clothes pins to the top and sides of the barrel using wood glue. The clothes pins on the sides can serve either as auxiliary shots for "rapid fire" or hooks to hang ammunition. Let dry.
- 6). Tie two rubber bands together. Loop one rubber band around the nails, then set the other end inside the clothes pin. Open up the clothes pin to fire.
