How to Save iPod Music to My Computer & Not iTunes

    • 1). Turn on your computer. Connect your iPod the computer via the included USB cable. Close the iTunes program if it automatically loads when detecting your computer.

    • 2). Click the "Start" button and then select "Control Panel." Double-click the "Portable Media Devices" icon.

    • 3). Double-click your iPod's drive icon from the list of portable devices. Click the "Tools" menu; select "Options." Choose the "Show Hidden Files and Folders" option.

    • 4). Open the folder titled "\iPod_Control\Music." This folder contains all music stored on the iPod. Tracks are sorted by artist folders. Navigate these folders and select the tracks you want to copy to the computer. Click and drag these audio files to your computer desktop. Your can then transfer the files from the desktop to any folder on your computer
