    • 1). Upgrade your iPod Touch software to iOS 3.0 or newer, if it is uses an older version of the software, by connecting your iPod to your computer and launching iTunes. Click your iPod's name from the left column. Then you'll be able to check for and download a new version of iOS, if one exists. Disconnect your iPod after installing iOS. If your iPod already has the most recent version of the software (iTunes will alert you of this), you can skip this step.

    • 2). Turn on your iPod and click the "Settings" icon to launch the application.

    • 3). Click "Bluetooth" and tap the "Off" button to turn on Bluetooth. The icon will change to a circular loading icon and, when your Bluetooth device is on, you will see the word "On" against a blue background.

    • 4). Tap the name of a Bluetooth device that is within range, after your iPod populates the list. You will have to enable Bluetooth on your computer or press the appropriate button to enable Bluetooth on headphones or headphones adapters, so that the iPod can discover it. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter any pairing codes, which your device will display on screen or you can find in your product manual. You must type the numeric pairing code into your iPod Touch so that you can create a connection between your iPod and other devices.
