How to Change the Home Button on the iPhone

    • 1). Select "Setting," then "General" from your iPhone's main screen.

    • 2). Select "Home." This will bring up the settings pane for the home button.

    • 3). Select a feature from the list of options provided. This will be the iPhone feature that opens when you double-click on the home button.

    • 4). Toggle the "iPod controls" button on or off depending on your preferences. When set to "on," this will enable you to double-click the home button while listening to music to bring up the controls, such as the PLAY, PAUSE, and STOP controls.

    • 5). Click "Search Results" to select which categories you want to browse within the iPhone when using the search feature. Even if you do not set the home button to "Search," editing this list of categories still affects the iPhone's main search feature that is accessed by scrolling to the left of the main screen.

    • 6). Click the home button to exit the settings panel and return to the iPhone's main screen. You may edit the home button settings again at any time.
