Duck brand duct tape has been used in households as a fix-it-all solution for over 20 years. It is not just for leaky pipes and ripped tents anymore. There are many types of crafts you can make, from Duck tape flowers to clothing items. Duck brand even has a program called "Stuck At Prom" where students make their prom attire completely out of Duck brand duct tape as part of a contest, with a scholarship as the prize. - Make a personalized bookmark to keep your place inside your favorite book or text book while studying. Use any color of duct tape available, or even a patterned duct tape like zebra or leopard print. Place two 5-inch strips of duct tape together so the sticky sides are facing each other and punch a hole at one end to attach a ribbon or piece of yarn.
- Make a bouquet of flowers completely out of duct tape and a few straws. Cover the straws in green duct tape to use as stems. Make triangular petals out of small duct tape squares (leaving a small stick strip on one end) and add them to one end of the straw. Build up the petals on each flower to make a full bloom and place them into a vase together.
- Make a colorful braided bracelet out of duct tape. Cut three strips of colored duct tape in equal lengths, and roll each piece along the side of the length to make a long cord. Braid the three pieces together and use a 1-inch piece of duct tape to secure the ends together so you can wear the bracelet. Try the same process with longer strips for a necklace as well.
- Make a duct tape drink holder to hold your drinks at parties or picnics. Make it with any color or print of duct tape you like and everyone is sure to know the drink is yours. Stand a soda can on a flat surface and cover it with a strip of duct tape around the bottom (sticky side facing out). Continue adding strips until the tape strips are as tall as the can. Place one strip of tape over the top of the can (sticky side up) and cover it with a second strip (sticky side down). Cover the rest of the tape around the can with new strips of tape to cover the sticky sides. Pick up the drink holder and slide the can out of the bottom. Flip the holder over and insert your drink through the open end.
