How to Import a Musical Video DVD into Windows XP

    • 1). Download and install a DVD extraction utility onto your Windows XP-powered computer. Consider ImTOO, Xilisoft or Aimersoft DVD Ripper, if you do not have such a program in mind.

    • 2). Insert the musical video DVD into your computer's DVD writer drive.

    • 3). Launch your DVD extraction utility.

    • 4). Click the utility's "Get Info" button to import the DVD's information, such as title and scene listing if you are connected to the Internet.

    • 5). Click the check boxes for all of the scenes you wish to import.

    • 6). Select your desired file format, such as MPEG, AVI, MOV or DIVX from the utility's "File Type" drop-down menu.

    • 7). Choose a destination for the ripped video files from the utility's "Destination" browser.

    • 8). Click the "Rip DVD" button.
