Find Error Type

• 1). Launch the Terminal application on your iPhone or access the device's command line prompt via SSH connection.
  
  
• 2). Type "su" and hit Enter.
  
  
• 3). Type "alpine." which is the default password to access the root directory of your iPhone. If you have changed the root password before, then enter the changed password instead. Hit Enter after typing your password.
  
  
• 4). Type "apt-get update" and allow Cydia to run an update and scan for errors. Note the error messages that appear on your screen. You may have a source error, may be experiencing a crash after it reloads data or may be experiencing a package header error.
  
  

Fix Source Error

• 1). Launch the iPhone Terminal application or the SSH connection to your iPhone.
  
  
• 2). Type "/etc/apt/folder" and hit Enter to navigate to this folder.
  
  
• 3). Locate cydia.list or sources.list.d. and copy and paste it into another folder for backup. Open the original file using a text editor and remove the entry that contains the name of the source giving you the error.
  
  
• 4). Reboot your iPhone to complete the error fix.
  
  

Reload After Data Crash

• 1). Launch Terminal or connect to your iPhone via SSH.
  
  
• 2). Type "su" and hit "Enter." Type "alpine," or your root password if you have previously changed it, and hit the "Enter" key again.
  
  
• 3). Type "dpkg --configure -a" and allow the command to execute. Once it has finished, reboot your iPhone.
  
  

Fix Package Header Error

• 1). Launch the Terminal application on your iPhone or the SSH connection.
  
  
• 2). Type "su," then hit the "Enter" key. Next type "alpine," or the root password to your iPhone if you have changed it, and hit the Enter key.
  
  
• 3). Type "dpkg --a configure" and then hit the Enter key and allow the command to execute.
  
  
• 4). Reboot your iPhone to complete the error fix.
