- 1). Place a phone call. Lightly touch the icon labeled "Phone." Press "Keypad." Enter the area code and seven digit phone number. To correct a digit, the left arrow with an X deletes from right to left. When ready to dial, press "Call." To disconnect call, touch "End."
- 2). Compose an email. Press the "Mail" icon. If more than one email account is listed, touch the account from which you'd like the email to originate. Press the small square in the bottom-right corner of the screen. In the "New Message" screen, enter the email address of the person to whom you're writing. Hit "Return." In the "Subject" line, type a short description of what the email will contain. Hit "Return." Type the body of the email, and hit "Send."
- 3). Take a photograph. Press the "Camera" icon. Hold camera vertically or horizontally. Lightly touch focal point of picture, which will automatically adjust focus and exposure. Touch image of camera within oblong touchscreen button to snap photograph. To review photo, press square thumbnail screen located left of the shutter. To delete photo, touch symbol shaped like a garbage can. To email photo, touch rectangular symbol, then "Email Photo" icon. In "To:" enter email address of person to whom you want to mail the photo. Hit "Send."
- 4). Surf the Internet. Press "Safari" icon. Enter desired Web address in rectangular box. Hit "Go." If uncertain of the web address, enter a few key words in oblong "Google" search engine, and hit "Search." Scroll up or down by touching screen and moving finger. To open a desired story, firmly press blue-underlined title.
