How to Take Out Wood Concrete Spacers
- 1). Lay the rock or stone next to the end of the wooden spacer you wish to remove to serve as a fulcrum for your pry bar.
- 2). Slide the shorter end of your pry bar under the edge of the wooden spacer, resting the bend of your bar on the stone. Lever the wooden spacer out of the area, pushing down on the pry bar to raise it. Pull the spacer out and dispose.
- 3). Use the chisel to scrape out any sections of the wooden spacer that broke off or stuck to the concrete and did not pull out when you used the pry bar, being careful not to chip the concrete. Use scraping motions, not hammering or chipping motions to remove these pieces of the wood.
