    • 1). Purchase a spool of 26-gauge wire. This can be found at any hardware store or craft store. Unwind the wire you will be using and straighten it.

    • 2). Thread the wire through a bead or charm, leaving one inch of wire. Cross the shortest end of the wire over the longer end. Use the round nose pliers and crimp the short end of the wire down. Wrap the short end around the longer end using the pliers a minimum of five times.

    • 3). Cut the excess short end of the wire off with the wire cutters on your pliers. Make any adjustments needed to place the unattractive part of wire behind the bead or charm.

    • 4). Use the round nose pliers to make a loop with the remaining longer end of the wire. Pull the wire up on itself and wrap around the tip of the pliers. Make this loop as large or small as you need. The loop you are creating will be where you will attach the bead or charm to the chain.

    • 5). Use your flat nose pliers to crimp down any wire ends sticking out. Run your finger along the wraps and wire to find any loose ends you may have missed.
