How to Make Vinyl Window Decals With Cricut
- 1). Place the cartridge into the slot on the bottom front of your Cricut. Remove the keypad included with the cartridge and place it over the blank keys on the Cricut machine.
- 2). Smooth the outdoor vinyl sheet onto the cutting mat, vinyl side face-up. Feed the mat into the plastic rollers on the front of the Cricut until you feel resistance, then press “Load Paper” on the keypad.
- 3). Select the image button you want to cut from the vinyl on the keypad. Adjust the size of the image by moving the size dial up or down on the front of the machine. The size of your image will appear in the LCD screen. After you have selected all of the images you want to cut press the “Cut” button on top of the Cricut.
- 4). Press “Unload Paper” when the machine has stopped cutting.
- 5). Use glass cleaner and a fiber-free rag to clean the window where your vinyl decal will be placed.
- 6). Remove the image from the cutting mat. Peel off the paper backing and smooth the image onto the window. Smooth out air bubbles with a plastic squeegee.
