How to Compare Folders in Windows
- 1). Click the "Start" button in the lower left-hand corner of your desktop.
- 2). Type "Windows Explorer" in the field above the button. Click "Enter," then the "Windows Explorer" link that will appear.
- 3). Click the "Organize" button in the main menu bar. Select "Folder and Search Options." Click the "View" tab. Put a check mark in the box next to "Display file size information in folder tips" and click the "OK" button.
- 4). Place the two folders on your desktop so it is easier to compare them. Put your cursor over the first folder and then the second folder. You will be able to see the basic properties, such as the size of each folder.
- 5). Open each folder and place them side by side. Click the "View" button or "View" in the main menu bar and choose how to arrange and view the files in the folders in the same way. Now you may compare the two.
