How to Disable the Auto Restart on the Blue Screen

    Windows XP

    • 1). Right-click "My Computer" from the Start menu and click "Properties." The System Properties window launches.

    • 2). Click the "Advanced" tab.

    • 3). Click the "Settings" button under Startup and Recovery.

    • 4). Uncheck the box next to "Automatic Restart" and click "OK."

    Windows Vista

    • 1). Right-click on "My Computer" and click "Properties" from the context menu that appears.

    • 2). Click "Advanced System Settings" under the Tasks sidebar located on the left of the screen.

    • 3). Click "Settings" under Startup and Recovery.

    • 4). Uncheck the box next to "Automatic Restart" and click "OK."

    Windows 7

    • 1). Right-click "My Computer" from the Start menu and click "Properties." The System Properties window launches.

    • 2). Click "Advanced System Settings" from the left navigation menu.

    • 3). Click the "Advanced" tab.

    • 4). Click the "Settings" button under Startup and Recovery.

    • 5). Uncheck the box next to "Automatically Restart" under System Failure and click "OK."
