Removing Music Match Software

1). Open your Start menu and click on the "Control Panel" option.
2). Select "Uninstall a Program" from the list of given options. In older versions of Windows, this is listed as "Add/Remove a Program."
3). Scroll through the list of programs until you find either "Music Match Jukebox" or "Yahoo! Musicmatch Jukebox" and double-click the listing to open the Uninstaller.
4). Pick "Uninstall Program" from the list of options and click "Continue." If asked to confirm the decision, do so and then click "Uninstall."

1). Bring up your Start menu and click "Run..." in Windows XP. In Windows 7 and Windows Vista, open your Start menu and type "regedit" into the search area at the bottom before hitting the "Enter" key. This opens your Registry Editor window.
2). Open the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" folder and delete the value next to "MimBoot."
3). Go into your "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MusicMatch\MusicMatch Jukebox\4.0\MainApp" and set the value next to "ShutDownMIM" to "1" before exiting out of the Registry Editor.
