- 1). Press any button on the console to activate it.
- 2). Select the correct date and time on the console, and fill in your name, birthday and favorite color when prompted.
- 3). Choose a type of dog. Different breeds cost different amounts, so check that you can afford your selected breed. Press select to choose the dog and input the dog's name.
- 4). Press 'B' to see what your dogs needs are. These will appear in a list and will suggest what you need to do with the dog.
- 5). Press 'A' to close the dog's needs screen and to return to looking at the dog.
- 6). Select the dog's bed to send the dog to bed if he is tired.
- 7). Select the back door to let the dog into the garden, or the front door to take the dog for a walk.
- 8). Select objects in the house to let the dog interact with them. For example, click the fire to let the dog sit in front of the heat, or the TV to turn it on.
- 9). Click the bone icon and drop the bone over the dog's mouth to feed him.

Click the brush and follow the onscreen prompts to brush your dog. - 11
Press the hand icon to pet your dog.
