How to Run Standard Windows Applications on Windows Home
- 1). Click the circular "Windows" orb logo in the bottom-left corner of the desktop (also known as the "Start" button). Type "System Configuration" in the search box at the bottom of the "Start" menu. Press "Enter" to open the System Configuration utility.
- 2). Click the "General" tab. Fill in the radio button next to "Diagnostic Start-up."
- 3). Click the "Apply" and "OK" buttons. Restart the PC, and when the computer boots up, it will only start with with basic Windows services and drivers. Third-party and non-Windows programs will not be included in the start-up sequence.
