Starting Windows Zero Configuration

• 1). Click "Start," then "Run."
  
  
• 2). Type "%SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc /s" and click "OK."
  
  
• 3). Scroll down the list of available services and right-click on "Windows Zero Configuration," then select "Properties."
  
  
• 4). Click the drop-down menu next to "Startup Type" and select "Automatic," then click on the "Start" button. Click "OK"
  
  
• 5). Right-click on the third-party wireless manager from the list of services and select "Properties." This name differs depending on the manufacturer.
  
  
• 6). Click the drop-down menu next to "Startup Type" and select "Disabled." Click "OK."
  
  

Making Windows the Default Wireless Manager

• 1). Double-click the wireless icon in the bottom-right corner of your desktop. It looks like a computer with a signal coming out of it.
  
  
• 2). Click on "Properties."
  
  
• 3). Click on the "Wireless Networks" tab.
  
  
• 4). Check the box next to "Let Windows manage my wireless network." Click "OK" to exit the window.
