How to Find the Product Code Key in a Computer
- 1). Take out all the components--CDs, certificate of authenticity and user manual --that were included in the original packaging when you purchased your computer.
- 2). Look on the back of the included CD case for your operating system disc. The product code key is generally printed on a white sticker. Each code key is comprised of 25 digits that are organized in five groups of five digits. Each set of five digits is separated by hyphens.
- 3). Look on all surfaces of your computer tower, if you cannot find the product code key on the included CD case. Another place to find the code key is on an included certificate of authenticity that should have been included in your original computer box packaging.
