    • 1). Open the graphic to which you wish to add a speech bubble in Photoshop.

    • 2). Set your foreground color to black and your background color to white.

    • 3). Select the "Ellipse" tool from the main toolbar on the left side of the screen. Draw an ellipse roughly in the area you want it to take up in your graphic. Make sure it is large enough to encompass all the dialogue you want to place inside it.

    • 4). Select the "Pen" tool from the main toolbar. Select "Add to path area" from the options dialog box on the right side of the screen. Draw a triangle extending from your speaker's mouth to the inside of the ellipse. Make sure the triangle is closed by clicking on your first point when you are done.

    • 5). Create a new layer in the Layers dialog box on the bottom right of the screen.

    • 6). Select the "Path Selection" tool from the main toolbar. Left click inside the ellipse's path, hold down the "Shift" key, and left click the triangle path. Right click anywhere on the canvas and select "Fill path" from the menu.

    • 7). Select the preferred color of your speech bubble from the dialog box, set the opacity to 100%, set the feather radius to 0 pixels, make sure "Anti-alias" is highlighted, and click on "OK." You now have a finished speech bubble.
