• 1). Click the “Start” button and access the Control Panel.
  
  
• 2). Click the “Sound” icon.
  
  
• 3). Go to the “Recordings” tab, select “Microphone” and click “Properties.”
  
  
• 4). Go to the “Custom” tab and enable “Mic Boost.”
  
  

Windows XP

• 1). Go to the lower-right corner of the screen and open the Volume Control application.
  
  
• 2). Go to “Options” and select “Properties.”
  
  
• 3). Scroll down and select “Mic Volume” and click “OK.” This will take you back to the main screen of the Volume Control application.
  
  
• 4). Go to “Options” and select “Advanced Controls.”
  
  
• 5). Go to the Bottom of the Window and click “Advanced.” Enable “Microphone Boost” and click “Close.”
